Thermodynamic temperature

Absolute thermodynamic temperature can be defined so that a reversible engine exchanging heats

with reservoirs at

and

T_{c}

satisfies

\frac{Q _{c}}{Q _{h}} = \frac{T _{c}}{T _{h}}, η = 1 - \frac{T _{c}}{T _{h}} .

A choice of one reference temperature fixes the scale.
